Forex Trading Strategy 106 - forex trading videos for beginners

Forex Trading Strategy 106 ~ forex trading videos for beginners

Market Analysis of the 12th of January 2014 : Opportunities on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, XAU/USD, EUR/JPY, USD/CAD & NZD/USD D1, H4 & H1

Click on the Menu on "Market Analysis" for all the analysis.

For most of the pairs, we have a clear trend on the daily chart. This should give us some good setups on H4/H1

EUR/USD: We are in a big wave 3 down
GBP/USD: This is also wave 3 down
USD/JPY: It looks like we come into a wave 4, alligator is going to sleep. No direction for H1/H4 trades
USD/CHF: We are in a big wave 3 up
AUD/USD: Wave 5 is losing steam, be prudent as long as price is inside the box
EUR/JPY: "c" move of the wave 4 has became a wave 3 in the opposite direction: Downtrend
USD/CAD: We are in a big wave 3 up
NZD/USD: End of wave 5 or we are still in wave 4, we could have a setup soon on the daily chart but for the lower time frames i would be prudent as long as the price is in the box
XAU/USD: Still in wave 4, stay in the sidelines while the price is in the box.

For orientation/direction of trades, click  "Signals" in the menu (from Monday 12th 8:00 GMT+1)

Forex Trading Strategy 134 - forex trading with 200 dollars

Forex Trading Strategy 134 ~ forex trading with 200 dollars

Market Analysis of the 27th of October 2014 : Opportunities on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, XAU/USD, EUR/JPY, USD/CAD & NZD/USD D1
Click on the Menu on "Market Analysis" for all the analysis.

No big change compare to last week: The pairs had a first retrace but we have no sign of divergence between the price and the Ewave for most of them so it could be the "a" move of the a-b-c corrective wave 4 or we could get more trades in the direction of the main trend. Therefore the situation is not clear for H1-H4

The news are poor for the USD but the price keeps falling and we exit the next morning when price breaks the opposite side of the fractal box for +120 pips (+2.5%)

How to Control Losses with Stop Loss - forex trading platform cost

How to Control Losses with Stop Loss ~ forex trading platform cost

How to Control Losses with "Stop Loss

Stop loss is a widely used order aiming mainly at limiting the possible losses in case of negative market movements.
Stop loss is used only with open positions. When the market conditions are not favorable for a trader and the price has reached the level of the "Stop loss", the deal is closed automatically.
Therefore, Stop loss helps the trader to control losses and in case of failures to keep safe at least part of his deposit.
If a trader does not use Stop loss orders, the position is closed by the broker when the sum of losses is equal to the sum of the deposit.
There are 3 types of Stop loss orders: fixed Stop loss, sliding Stop loss and combined Stop loss.
Fixed Stop losses are set while opening positions. They cannot be changed until the deal is closed. Sliding stop losses, on the other hand, can be modified any time depending on the price movement. Another name for sliding Stop loss is Trailing stop, that can be modified either manually or automatically based on the traders settings.

Now I would strongly encourage you to go and visit the above brokers site right now even if you are not yet decided whether you want to go into Forex trading. Why? because it provides tons of free education materials, videos and best of all a demo account that allows you to practice Forex trading for free without the need to deposit any money. Simply go to the site, register for a free account and start "trading" - by actually practicing and experiencing it firsthand youll be able to decide whether Forex trading is for you.
In any case, before starting to trade for real, it is advisable that you practice with a demo account. Once you build some skill and feel more comfortable with the system you  can start trading gradually for real money.

3/12 Tunnel Breakout is a simple breakout system trend following requires:
three exponential moving averages:
12ema (of price highs);

3ema (of price closes).
Top Tip: This system is great for the Daily timeframe to get on board

On the next candle that closes and causes the 3ema to rise above the
12ema-channel – BUY:
3/12 Tunnel breakout
On the next candle that closes and causes the 3ema to fall below the
12ema-channel – SELL:

Forex Trading Strategy 128 ~ forex trading with fidelity

Trade of the week: Good +120 pip profit (+4%) trade on USD/CAD H1 on 3-5 November 2014
For more details, click "Examples of Trade" in the menu

On H4, its an uptrend with alligator open, we had a first break of the fractal box on H1 and after a retrace we take this second break. The price flies and is always above the red line, we exit when the candle crosses the green line after the 3rd divergence (not before as the H4 ewave was still close to the zero line and was peaking)

Using moving averages to analyze the market - forex market hours christmas

Using moving averages to analyze the market ~ forex market hours christmas

Generally moving averages can be used to analyze the market in order to identify the following features:
Identify a trending market (up or down);
Locate a lateral phase of the market (ranging market);
Understanding the levels of support and resistance static or dynamic;
Identify the levels of breakout.
Moving averages identify a trending market when:
The moving average is rising
- The price line tend to be above the moving average
- A shorter moving average crossed the longer moving average

To identify a trend long occor look at daily or weekly charts.
To identify the longer term trend you can draw 200 SMA and 144 EMA onto the chart.
Simply When the 144 EMA is above the 200 SMA and at the same time the price is above the 200 SMA while Both moving averages are diverging.
longer term trend you can draw 200 SMA and 144 EMA onto the chart.
Now, we have the big picture of the market and we at least know that a LONG trade is not as risky as a SHORT trade. However, a short term trader needs a short term signal to enter the market. A short term LONG signal would identify when:
- The 144 EMA crossed the 200 SMA on 4H chart;
- The price must be above the 200 SMA;
- The MAs is diverging;
Using moving averages to analyze the market

Velocity of market with moving averages

When a market is in an uptrend the shorter moving average tends to diverge quickly from the longer moving average and this makes the distance between two moving averages looks wider. This phenomenon indicates that the momentum (velocity of the price) of the price is rising.
Otherwise, when two moving averages are converging after they diverged once earlier (Where we took the LONG trade), the price tends to pull back and this means the momentum of the market is slowing, so the LONG trade is about to be invalid and we must exit the market.
Furthermore, two moving averages are on their way to cross over again but this time shorter moving average cross the longer moving average in opposite direction (Downward). The downward cross over of two moving averages gives us very valuable information in which  the momentum has slowed into levels that the price can not rely on it anymore. A very weak momentum would means that the market is going to be lazy (Consolidation) so we must avoid this situation and wait till a new clear signal tell us what to do next.

Pratical setting of moving averages:
short term scale:
fast: (6, 13) periods, close (EMA and SMA),
triple moving averages  9, 10, 13, 18, 20 and 21 (periods),
40, 55 and 89 periods for medium term scale,
100, 144, 200 for long term scale.

EMA=Exponetial moving averages.
SMA=Simple moving averages.

Reversal candlestick pattern the Harami - forex market hours pst

Reversal candlestick pattern the Harami ~ forex market hours pst

Candlestick Harami pattern
The Harami pattern is a reversal pattern that signals an exausting dowtrend or a rally that is losoing steam. The Harami candlestick formation is comprised the first candle has a long body while the second candle has a smaller body that is within the first candle. Tipically the smaller of the second candle the stronger the price reversal signal. The smaller the wicks of the second candle the more accurate the signal. If the second candle hovers near the top of the first candle during an up trend this indicates that there is a higher probability for consolidation than a reversal. The same is true in a downtrend, wihch is if the second candle hovers nears the bottom of the first candle, it indicates a higher probability for consolidation as opposed to a reversal.
In Picture we see a bearish Harami reversal where a large white candle is followed by a small dark one. the Harami is a good example of an “inside” day where the price action of today is completely inside the price range of the prior day.

Forex Trading Strategy 108 - forex trading vs futures

Forex Trading Strategy 108 ~ forex trading vs futures

Market Analysis of the 5th of January 2014 : Opportunities on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, XAU/USD, EUR/JPY, USD/CAD & NZD/USD D1, H4 & H1

Click on the Menu on "Market Analysis" for all the analysis.

For most of the pairs, we have a clear trend on the daily chart. This should give us some good setups on H4/H1

EUR/USD: New push down of the wave 3; Downtrend
GBP/USD: Same as EUR/USD, some recent divergence but new push down and the price is outside the box; Downtrend
USD/JPY: Still wave 3 but Ewave is coming back to the zero line, better to stay on the sidelines as long as the price is in the box, globally it is a uptrend though.
USD/CHF: New push up of the wave 3; Uptrend
AUD/USD: We still are in the wave 5 but now the Ewave is coming back to the zero line; Downtrend
EUR/JPY: We are in the wave 4, but the "c" wave move can become a new wave 3 down. No clear trend on Daily
USD/CAD: New push up of the wave 3. Uptrend.
NZD/USD: The wave 5 seems to be not completed, overall the chart is downtrend, but the alligator is sleeping.
XAU/USD: The wave 5 has started but with no power, Alligator is still open and it is downtrend.
